Skyler Archer, Esq.
Skyler Archer was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where she double-majored in Advertising and Women’s Studies at Florida International University. Skyler graduated from FIU in 2015, receiving Magna Cum Laude distinction. From a young age, Skyler felt a calling to the practice of law. She also developed a vision of herself in Colorado shortly after taking a family vacation to the state as a child, at which time she instantly fell in love with the natural landscape, remarkable energy, and unique opportunities for adventure.
Skyler did not hesitate to uproot her life and begin a new chapter in Denver, CO, after accepting a scholarship to attend the University of Denver Sturm College of Law beginning in the Fall of 2015. Skyler quickly discovered her passion for trial advocacy after working for the Human Trafficking and Cold-Case unit of the Denver District Attorney’s office during her first summer following her 1L year. Shortly thereafter, Skyler was accepted onto DU’s National Trial Team, where she was recognized for her success as a national traveling competitor. Skyler also competed in events including the Hoffman Cup as well as competitions held by the Student Trial Lawyers Association. In her second year of law school, Skyler was admitted as a student attorney in the University of Denver’s Civil Litigation Clinic. In this role, Skyler served as a Guardian ad Litem for children and represented survivors of domestic violence in obtaining Civil Protection Orders against their abusers.
Upon her admission to the Colorado Bar, Skyler immediately began practicing at a law firm in Longmont, Colorado, where she successfully represented clients in Dissolution of Marriage, Allocation of Parental Responsibilities, Civil Protection Order, Guardianship and Conservatorship matters. Skyler’s expertise in the areas of family and divorce law, as well as the arena of elder law (i.e., guardianships and conservatorships), make her a keen adversary and worthwhile champion for her clients’ needs.
Skyler is licensed to practice law in both Colorado and Florida. While her natural demeanor is empathetic and cordial, Skyler believes in fiercely advocating for those she represents. Moreover, while she loves being in the courtroom, Skyler believes that settlement is often the better solution for many clients. Where litigation is necessary, Skyler does not hesitate to approach her adversaries full force.
