Ryan Cohn

 Ryan Cohn is an Associate Attorney at Law One, where he focuses his practice across personal injury, estate planning and probate, and family law. Originally from Michigan, Ryan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University in 2014, where he was named to the Dean’s List five times. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, developing the litigation and drafting skills that now define his legal practice.

 

Ryan’s path to law began with an interest in criminal justice and a passion for systemic change, shaped in part by his studies in Supreme Court precedent and the social upheaval of the mid-2010s. Before joining Law One, he gained experience across a range of legal settings, including the Otero County Prosecutor’s Office, Baker Law Group, National Disability Group, and several private firms, bringing a well-rounded perspective to client representation.

 

He holds a Misdemeanor Prosecution Skills Certification, a rigorous trial practice program focused on evidence, evidentiary motions, and courtroom examination. These foundational skills translate directly to his work across all three of his practice areas.

 

Ryan approaches every client relationship by first understanding the full picture: the facts of the matter and, equally important, what the client actually hopes to achieve. He is known for his attentiveness, his skill in legal drafting, and his willingness to take a case to the courtroom when that is what his client’s best interests require.

 

Outside of the office, Ryan enjoys singing, acting, improv, attending concerts, and karaoke.
