Skyler Archer, Esq.
About Skyler Archer, Esq.
Skyler quickly discovered her passion for trial advocacy after clerking for the Human Trafficking and Cold-Case unit of the Denver District Attorney’s office during the summer following her 1L year of law school.. Shortly thereafter, Skyler was accepted onto the University of Denver’s highly ranked National Trial Team, where she was hand-selected to represent DU as a national traveling competitor; an opportunity offered to only a small portion of trial team members. In her second year of law school, Skyler was offered the opportunity to practice law as a student attorney in the University of Denver’s Civil Litigation Clinic. In this role, Skyler served as a Guardian ad Litem for children as well as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence seeking Civil Protection Orders against their abusers. Skyler’s rich law school experienceonly further ignited the passion within her and led her onto the path that she embarked on when she began the practice of law in August 2018.
Skyler began her career as a lawyer at a small law firm in Longmont, Colorado, where she was assigned a full caseload just days after being sworn under oath to the Colorado Bar. While this type of experience would be intimidating to many young attorneys, Skyler treated it as an opportunity and privilege. Over four years later, Skyler continues to hold this perspective in her daily practice. Each case is an opportunity for professional growth. Skyler will not hesitate to immerse herself in the most rigorous and complex slew of cases. She enjoys a challenge, and unlike many attorneys, she is dedicated to empowering her clients in more ways than one.
Skyler’s expertise in the areas of Family Law, Personal Injury and Probate Litigation (i.e., guardianships and conservatorships), make her a keen adversary and worthwhile champion for her clients’ needs.
Skyler is licensed to practice law in both Colorado and Florida. While her natural demeanor is empathetic and cordial, Skyler believes in fiercely advocating for those she represents. Don’t let herwarm demeanor fool you; Skyler delivers fierce advocacy to the negotiation table and to the courtroom. Moreover, while she genuinely loves being in the courtroom, Skyler believes that settlement isoften the better solution for many clients. Where litigation is necessary, Skyler does not hesitate to approach her adversaries full force.
